NIGHTCLUBBING, 50 YEARS OF PARISIAN NIGHTS

For over half a century, Paris has been bringing the world’s party-goers together on the dancefloor of its nightclubs. This documentary takes us behind the scenes of the Parisian nightlife world, to some of the town’s most legendary venues.

From the dawn of the 1960 to the twilights of the 2000s, the City of Light saw the emergence of dashing and underground nightclubs, in which the Parisian elite rubbed shoulders with the great names of music, fashion and art (Mick Jagger, Karl Lagerfeld, Yves Saint-Laurent…). The director Jacques Braunstein takes stock of those trendy party places while gathering the testimonies of their visitors.
