NORMANDY BETWEEN SKY AND SEA

A rocky cliff swept by winds and waves, Cap de Carteret (Normandy) is home to a unique and fragile ecosystem. Once threatened by men, and having disappeared from the region for several decades, two emblematic bird species are now reclaiming their rights to these wild expanses: the peregrine falcon and the common raven.

One is a relentless hunter while the other is unusually intelligent. Between sky and sea, both evolve and clash in a war for territory. While discovering the secret behaviors of these majestic wild birds, the breathtaking landscapes and incredible fauna of Normandy unfold before our eyes. But humans aren’t very far… Will the wilderness survive alongside the nearby town that is now nibbling away at the cliff?

With its sumptuous, contemplative images, this documentary is a fable of animals and ecology, revealing the wealth of unsuspected nature hidden in the foreshore, granite and dunes.
