In Loire-Atlantique, in the west of France, two partners - David and Xavier - fed up with the race for productivity in conventional livestock farming, decided to go organic after ten years or so.
Their courageous and determined conversion involved a radical change in their way of being, thinking and acting, and a different relationship with animals. And it has had many beneficial effects, both human and economic.
Paced by a light-hearted commentary, the documentary sheds light on the major issues facing contemporary agriculture. As the months go by, the metamorphosis takes effect, and we discover Xavier enjoying watching his calves frolic in the fields, or giving them names rather than numbers.
