Nestled on the edge of the world, New Zealand is considered one of the most beautiful places in the world. Home to a rich biodiversity, it shelters numerous animal species that can be found nowhere else. For thousands of years, this fauna has evolved in an environment devoid of predators. But the arrival of man put an end to this prosperity.
Aware of the fragility of this unique environment, New Zealanders have made saving it a priority.
From the South Island to the North Island, we travel through the archipelago to discover its majestic landscapes and unique animals (sea lions, yellow-eyed penguins, takahe, kea…) which are now under national protection.
