Every year, Tibetan antelopes - also known as “chirus” - undertake a formidable migration: in their tens of thousands, they leave their breeding grounds in the Qinghai valleys for the Tibetan plateau, where they give birth and raise their young.
On this arduous 400km journey, they encounter other endemic species - pikas, foxes or marmots. But they will also have to watch out for predators such as the Tibetan wolf, and cope with the extreme climatic conditions that prevail on this vast, isolated plateau. Will they be able to overcome these many challenges and protect their offspring?
For one year, we become privileged spectators of one of China's greatest wildlife events, in the heart of a landscape of extraordinary beauty.
