Sometimes white and fluffy in fine weather, sometimes dark and threatening under stormy skies, they float above our heads: clouds are with us everywhere. Carriers of our daydreams, they define our environment, our health, our economies… We think we known them well, yet they remain a great enigma for science.
How do cloud form within the atmospheric system? Why do they play such an essential role in climate dynamics? Does human activity have an impact on cloud formation? And what role do they play exactly in climate change?
Escorted by world-renowned scientists, and borrowing NASA’s heavy-duty technology as well as the latest 3D imagery tools, we embark on a journey across altitudes, latitudes and longitudes - from the Tropics to the polar circles, and even in space - to meet the great family of clouds and pierce the fog that surrounds them.
