Champagne is one of the world’s most refined beverages. For a long time, it was mainly produced by men. But things have changed: Today, more and more women are making a career in this field. This documentary takes us to the heart of the Champagne wine region (northeast France), to meet the women who are writing the history of this prestigious spirit.
Winegrower, cellar master, oenologist or corporate manager: they all have a unique relationship with champagne. From the vine to the bubbles that sparkle in the glass, these women tell us the secrets behind the making of a beverage invented over three centuries ago, and show us – through their career – that champagne truly is a woman’s business!
