The Paris of the great breweries

Among the 50,000 restaurants in Paris, some 50 brasseries have a special place in the hearts of the French. They are called Bouillon Chartier, Au Pied de Cochon, Brasserie Wepler, Le Grand Colbert, La Lorraine, Bofinger, Lipp, Vaudeville, la Coupole... Popular addresses with immense prestige, high places so emblematic of Paris by the beauty of their buildings and the character of their bistro cuisine. They all appear in our travel guides and dining there is a kind of experience that you have to have had at least once.

But do these mythical brasseries all live up to their reputation? Investigate behind the stoves of these breweries that tend to rest on their laurels of the past. Soulless, banal, sometimes mediocre quality cuisine.
