STELLAN SKARSGÅRD

At 16, he became a star in Sweden through his first leading role in a TV series. At 45, Lars Von Trier revealed his talent to the world with Breaking the Waves. At 72, he dons the demented costume of Baron Harkonnen once again, in Dune: Part Two.

Having played in over a hundred movies, Stellan Skarsgård has established himself as a brilliant and prolific - if discreet - actor who has conquered international cinema, triumphing both in the world of Hollywood blockbuster and European indie films. His appetite and raw talent make him an incredibly versatile actor who, over the course of 50 years, has worked alongside some of the greates directorst: Lars Von Trier, Gus van Sant, Ingmar Bergman, Steven Spielberg… Yet, he has never allowed himself to be confined in one genre, trend, style or country. And that's his tour de force.

A true adventurer who continuously explores all sorts of genre, the Swedish actor is an exceptional witness of half a century of cinema’s history and evolutions. Through an in-depth, intimate interview - enriched with archives and excerpts from his work -, Stellan Skarsgård delivers a fair and enlightened vision of the 7th art.
