More than 230 million children around the world have never been registered at birth, and today are unknown to their own countries and do not exist in the eyes of society.

And the consequences are often dramatic: early marriages, forced labor, numerous obstacles to education and voting.

This investigation, led by local personalities, sets out to meet these “invisibles”, their families and the local authorities who are trying to curb this phenomenon.
