Monaco: The Forgotten Frescoes of the Prince’s Palace

In June 2015, restoration work at Monaco's Palace led to an unexpected and exceptional discovery. In the Salon Matignon, hidden behind overpainting and forgotten for centuries: a monumental fresco (600 m2), extremely well preserved.

Who painted it? What do these artworks reveal about the history of the Principality of Monaco? And could the Princely Palace conceal other secrets? This is the start of an incredible investigation at the crossroads of art and history, following in the footsteps of the great Renaissance authors and the origins of the Grimaldi dynasty.
